About Charlotte

Hi! I'm Charlotte and I'm the face behind CH Design. I've always had a passion for creativity, which led me to study fashion design and all-round styling in Amsterdam.

I also have a background in e-commerce photography, marketing, and fashion styling.

I channel my experience into crafting pieces that reflect my unique aesthetic and the inspiration I've gathered along the way.

I grew up moving around, and I've lived in five different countries. I've drawn inspiration from my travels, which is why I bring back flowers to capture the beauty of each journey.

About the Flowers

All of the flowers I use in my jewelry are sourced from florists during my travels. Each flower is real and carefully chosen for its unique beauty. After bringing them back, I dry the flowers myself—a process that takes about a week. Once dried, I pick them off their stems one by one, which can take up to 3 hours for a large bouquet. So far, I’ve brought back flowers from places like Lisbon, Alicante, Amsterdam, The Hague, and Utrecht, and the list will keep growing as I explore more places. I’m always on the lookout for a new color to add to my collection! From this photo, the blue ones came home with me (Alicante)

About the Hardware

All the hardware I use—including earring hoops, studs, jumprings, chains, and earring backs—is made of stainless steel. This material is not only durable and affordable, but also hypoallergenic and nickel-free, making it gentle on the skin. Even the gold-colored stainless steel won't discolor over time. Occasionally, I also create pieces with sterling silver hardware. All hardware has been tested by me. I've even made myself a permanent bracelet with the gold stainless steel chain, which still has its beautiful golden color after 2 years of 24/7 wear! You can truly rest assured your jewelry is long lasting.

About the Resin

I carefully select and work with a high-quality 2-component resin for all my pieces. This type of resin is much stronger and more durable than UV resin, which is cured under a UV lamp. The resin I use contains a special protectant that prevents yellowing over time, ensuring that each piece retains its clarity and beauty for years to come.

This resin requires at least 24 hours to cure, and I always apply two layers to each piece. This means that a single piece takes a minimum of 48 hours to make, not including the time it takes to dry and pick the flowers, or to add the hardware. This meticulous process ensures that every item is crafted with care and built to last.
